You're probably wondering who is behind the Touring Cyclist Club.

It's Dennis Snape and Rob Gullen - both members of Heart of England Cycling Club

Dennis lives in Birmingham and is a passionate cycle tourist; introduced to cycle touring in the mid-1970’s aged just 14, by his grandfather.  Dennis has completed dozens of UK and European cycle tours.  He wants to help the Touring Cyclist Club become the natural home for all cycle tourists by offering its members specific cycle touring benefits and information.

Rob lives in Stratford-upon-Avon and is best known as the owner/webmaster of the Cycle:End-to-End website ( )  and as volunteer organiser (now "retired") of the MacRide Events that raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support (   He is a veteran of two E2E rides (both ways) and a French E2E - along with numerous other cycle tours in the UK and Europe. Now volunteering at the Cyclists Fighting Cancer charity cycle shop - tinkering with donated bikes to get them ready for sale.

The mission of the Touring Cyclist Club is to focus on the pleasures of cycle touring and steer away from "politics, campaigning and discussing the wearing of helmets"

There is interest to enable formation of a small, enthusiastic volunteer group of cyclists to manage the project ongoing - and create an organisation that is forward-thinking yet respects the traditions of cycle-touring.
